La Mercè music

La Mercè music: "Every year, during the Mercè, music plays the leading role in the Fiesta Mayor celebrations. Besides the BAM (Barcelona Acció Musical, a festival within the Mercè, which includes the best performances by current artists of the Catalonian, national and international music scene), music will be present throughout the entire city within a more “conventional” proposal. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of performances by well-known bands and solo artists in characteristic locations within the city, such as the Plaza de Catalunya or the Plaza Sant Jaume. Artists such as Loquillo, Quimi Portet, la Salseta del Poble Sec, La Unión, El Sueño de Morfeo or Delafé and Flores Azules will be performing alongside shows involving Habaneras, Choirs and Flamenco (this year to pay tribute to Camarón). In the current edition, Dakar is the guest city, and we can all enjoy performances by many well-known African bands and artists, such as Doudou N’diaye Rose, Tactequeté and Coetus.
